“Ich möchte diejenige sein, auf die du dich am meisten freust und von der du dich nur schwer losreißen kannst” (I want to be your favorite hello and your hardest goodbye.)
Cameron & Benjamin met at a German language immersion camp when they were 17. For the first three weeks they knew each other, they spoke only German. I suppose you could say it was love at first auf wiedersehen.
Cameron told us that their relationship works because they complement each other well. They are both independent but support each other and make each other better.
Benjamin proposed to Cameron on a camping trip to Cheyenne Mountain on New Year’s Day.
Cameron & Benjamin were married at Old Metropolitan Hall on the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville, VA on March 5, 2022.
Cameron & Benjamin selected green and gold as their colors. These colors complimented their venue perfectly.
An Origami crane altar provided the perfect backdrop for both the vows and reception.
They had no formal cake but a big feast (formally served) with plenty of drinks. It was essential to the couple that the night be intimate, moment-focused, and simple. They wanted to spend their big day hanging out and playing games with their friends.
Cameron & Benjamin each had just one attendant stand by their side during their vows.
We love that Cameron & Benjamin’s photos look like stills out of a movie. The Downtown Mall was the perfect location to showcase their relationship.
Cameron & Benjamin’s ceremony began at 4:30 pm. As their guests arrived, they were greeted by a string duo which also played during the ceremony.
After the vows, Cameron & Benjamin spent the evening laughing, playing games, and hanging out with their nearest and dearest.
Herzliche Glückwünsche Cameron & Benjamin.
