I LOOOOVED this wedding.

It was so gorgeous in every way. First of all Sierra Vista in Bedford, Virginia is probably one of my favorite venues. And Chelsea and Ben were both so fun and easygoing to work with, and their personalities so relaxed and fun!! We all had a blast and it felt like I knew them for years. It was definitely one of my favorite weddings of the year!

Speaking of this year… It seems like it’s rained every weekend this year in Virginia, but that didn’t stop this wedding day!! The clouds held off just long enough to have a stunning outdoor ceremony overlooking the mountains, and even when it did rain, Chelsea and Ben made the most of it by letting me get some fun rain shots with them! Getting a little wet is worth it to capture some great images you’ll cherish forever!!

About Chelsea & Ben:

How did you two first meet?
We met at a mutual friend’s wedding and stayed the weekend at the same house with friends so we got to know more about each other by staying up all night talking.

What makes you two work together? What’s your love story?
We’re both old souls and like to spend a lot of our time at home relaxing. We’re both also very nerdy and loved that about one another.

When did you get engaged? How did it happen?
September 14, 2017 we were at Smith Mountain Lake with my family, and right before we were about to go out on the boat, my best friend brought her camera to take pictures of all of us and then she asked if I wanted a picture of just Ben and I. Of course I said yes, and while she was taking pictures, Ben pulled out the box and got down on one knee.
