Did you know that a ladybug is a sign of good luck? Specifically on your wedding day. Neither did we until recently. We tracked a tiny little piece of good luck through Shelby & Alex’s winter 2021 wedding.

The Venue

Shelby & Alex were married on a crisp February day at Berry Hill Resort in South Boston, VA. The historic landmark resort nestled in the Virginia countryside dates back to 1728 and made the perfect backdrop for this couple’s intimate wedding.

The Details

Shelby & Alex selected a vintage romance theme for their wedding. It was important to Shelby to have a relaxed atmosphere that showcased their love story. Think of a Michael Bublé vibe.

The Bridal Party

Shelby’s bridesmaids wore rose dresses from Dear Cleo (they had pockets!). And Alex and his groomsmen looked dapper in navy suits.

The Ceremony

The intimate ceremony was officiated by the Groom’s Father, Larry Judd.

The Bride & Groom

Alex describes Shelby as his other half, and we couldn’t agree more. These two seem to be the definition of completing each other. While it may not have been love at first sight (as Shelby says), their love certainly seems to be one for the ages.
