“Going to the chapel and we’re gonna get married” – The Dixie Cups
Grace & Richard met at church and bonded over their love for the outdoors and hiking. It wasn’t long before they fell in love and Richard proposed in the middle of the Maury River. Then, on October 23, 2021, the couple was married.
Grace & Richard wanted a cozy fall vibe for their wedding. They decorated the ceremony and reception sites with hay bales, fire pits, and fall décor. These decorations were set against a backdrop of fields and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Their colors of burgundy, light pink, white, and purple were perfect for the season. It was important to the couple to celebrate their love of country as part of their special day.
Some parts of the wedding day are certainly “for the bride”. For Grace and Richard, the wedding party photos were all for Richard. He really wanted a “Reservoir Dogs” style shoot with the wedding party and by golly, we made it happen.
And for Grace, we were able to capture some sweet shots with her family.
Grace looked stunning in her David’s Bridal gown. We love these pre-ceremony moments we were able to capture of her before she became a Mrs.
Grace & Richard’s sweet love shone through every photo.
A string trio greeted guests as they entered the ceremony site. Hay bales made for the perfect seating as the bride and groom’s closest family and friends watched them join their lives together.
Grace made her way to the ceremony site on a wagon while Richard waited to greet her at the end of the aisle.
With the I Do’s complete, it was time to party. Grace & Richard’s special moments on the dance floor just took our breath away.
Happy first anniversary to Grace & Richard. We wish you many years of happiness and hiking.
