You complete me…
When Hope & Dom met during Hope’s freshman year of college, she realized that Dom had a lot of things that she didn’t. As she told us in her client interview, “We really balance each other out… Dom is the kindest and most patient man I know”.
After dating through college, Dom proposed at Maymont Park in Richmond. “He set up his camera to take pictures of us (which we’ve never done before in the 3 years of us being together, so I KNEW something was up) – but he set up and tore down 4 different times before he proposed. I was lowkey about to strangle him because I’m not a patient person, but he proposed at the 4th location so all is well”.
We shot Hope & Dom’s engagement session in downtown Lynchburg (where the couple went to college and would also be getting married). The little hidden oasis’ our city provides created a great backdrop to showcase their love.
If you haven’t figured it out by now, we LOVE the Blue Ridge Parkway. There’s a reason it’s one of our go-to locations. It makes for gorgeous photos. And Hope’s bridal portraits were no exception. And who can say no to a bride who is willing to take a risk to get the perfect shot?
Hope & Dom were married in November of 2019 at Tresca on 8th. The revitalized warehouse space turned wedding venue made for an intimate location for their 160-person guest list.
For this wedding, the couple didn’t want to have a first look. But they did have letters they wanted to share with each other before the ceremony.
One of our favorite moments of this wedding was the foot-washing ceremony.
These college sweethearts radiated love in every picture we shot.
We’ve loved capturing this couple’s love story from engagement photos to Bridal portraits. To see their engagement gallery, click here. For their wedding and bridal portrait gallery, click here.
Congrats Hope & Dom!
