Megan & Jonathan 1/2/2022

As the camera slowly pans inside of the coffee shop, we see a boy sitting alone at a table. He looks nervous. He also looks excited. As each new person enters the shop, he looks up to see if they are the one, he’s waiting for. When a gorgeous brunette enters the coffee shop, he knows she’s the one. Not only the one that he’s been waiting for inside that shop but she’s the one he’s been waiting for his whole life.

Is it the next great rom-com? No. It’s how Megan & Jonathan finally met in person after initially connecting online.

After their first date, the couple bonded through cooking together. The simple act of making a meal together taught them how to work together, to put each other first, and brought them closer together.

The Engagement

Megan & Jonathan were engaged on July 7th at Knight’s Fairy in California. Megan’s sister told her that they needed to scout locations of her favorite spots so that Jonathan could plan his proposal. Little did Megan know that it wasn’t a scouting trip, but her actual proposal. The best part? Megan’s brothers and sisters were all able to be present to celebrate with her.

The Wedding

Megan & Jonathan were married at 4 pm on January 2, 2022, at Riverview Manor in Hurt, Virginia.

The Details

Because Megan & Jonathan’s wedding was during the holiday season, it was important to them that they include a Christmas theme. Megan also wanted to add a splash of rustic vintage elegance.  Her colors were emerald green, gold, and wine red.

When we asked Megan & Jonathan what three words described how they felt about their wedding, they said: excited, ready, and nervous.

The Bridal Party

The Bridesmaid’s looked gorgeous in their Christmas-colored dresses from Amazon. And the Groomsmen looked cool, calm, and collected in their suit jackets and jeans from Belk.

The Bride & Groom

Megan looked stunning in her classic gown from David’s Bridal. And we can’t help but notice that Jonathan’s eyes sparkled just a bit more when he looks at her.

The Ceremony

Megan & Jonathan were married in a 4 pm outdoor ceremony at Riverview Manor.

The couple included traditional communication as their unity ceremony.

The Reception

After the ceremony, the guests moved into the barn to party the night away.

Congratulations to Megan & Jonathan. We hope your first Christmas together as husband and wife is magical.
