Countless movies, love stories, and books remind us that there are few things more romantic than rain. Whitney & Peyton’s wedding had all the rainy romantic vibes that anyone could ask for.
The wedding took place on Whitney’s family farm built by her grandfather in 1972 in Monroe, Virginia. Despite the rain, the brisk fall weather and changing leaves made for a gorgeous backdrop for the newlywed’s portraits. Whitney’s horse, Mr. Ed even joined in the festivities.
Each detail at the wedding worked together to tell the couple’s love story. Both romantic and fun, the celebration reflected their personality.
Whitney strode her steed to the ceremony site and made the most elegant and graceful unintentional dismount ever in a dress. She then handed Mr. Ed off to a friend who was costumed in a traditional fox hunting outfit before making her way down the aisle to Peyton.
And the rain certainly didn’t stop the couple’s family and friends from partying into the night. Not pictured, the keg stand that the bride, groom, and father of the bride did after the photographers left.
